Terms of Use

Last updated: May 22, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CheckRun Chrome extension and the CheckRun website at checkrun.co ("Service"). By installing the extension or using the website, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

CheckRun is a free Chrome browser extension that lets you create reusable checklist templates and run them on any webpage. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CheckRun. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your data

All checklist data you create is stored locally in your browser. You retain full ownership of your data. We have no access to it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

CheckRun allows you to share templates via a link, token, or JSON export. Sharing happens entirely within the browser — no CheckRun server is involved. You are solely responsible for the content of any templates you choose to share with others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension in ways that violate applicable law
  • Use the Service to infringe on the rights of others
  • Distribute modified versions of the extension while misrepresenting them as official CheckRun releases

5. Intellectual property

The CheckRun name, logo, and original content on this website are owned by CheckRun. The extension's source code may be subject to an open-source license — see the repository for details. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

6. Third-party services

CheckRun integrates optionally with Google services (Google Sheets, Google Drive). Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service. CheckRun is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

The extension is distributed via the Chrome Web Store, subject to Google's policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any particular outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CheckRun and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update these Terms or change the Service at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date when Terms change materially. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction where CheckRun operates.
